White Changes Opinion On Rubber Match With Mir For Next Lesnar Fight?

<B>By MATT BOONE<BR> MMANEWS.COM Staff Writer</B><BR><BR> UFC president Dana White recently spoke out to the media about his thoughts on what's next for former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar during his time in Germany this weekend for the "Marquardt vs. Okami" event in Oberhausen.<BR><BR> After killing the rumor that Lesnar requested a fight with Ultimate Fighter winner Roy "Big Country" Nelson at the UFC Fight Club Q&A session prior to UFC 122 this weekend, White further-cemented his desire to book a rubber match between Lesnar and heated rival Frank Mir for each of their next octagon appearances. Less than 24-hours later, White is singing a different tune, and for what he says is a legitimate reason.<BR><BR> The UFC head-hauncho made the following comments to mixed-martial arts website MMAJunkie.com during an interview this weekend, "People have been saying on my Twitter that they're not happy with that fight. It's something I need to rethink."<BR><BR> White didn't forget to clarify the difference between changing a major fight based on "tweets" as opposed to internet message boards and websites. The UFC president continued, "I usually don't gauge things by the internet, the internet is f*cking stupid. My Twitter I do."<BR><BR> White would elaborate a tad further with one final comment on the topic: "On my Twitter, there are 1.2 million people that care about this thing and everything else, and you don't get the goofy sh*t that you get on the internet."<BR><BR> In a matter of a few weeks we went from not knowing if Lesnar even wanted to fight again after rumors spread of his potential interest in a return to pro wrestling following the now infamous "You wanna do it?" interview with WWE wrestler The Undertaker, to having two possible opponents for his next UFC fight, back to having no idea what exactly to expect (or when) for the mega-popular former champion.<BR><BR>

THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 12 REPORT 11/17: Hyden's (Virtual Time) rundown of all the fights, all the drama on Spike Tv

TUF_logo_Main_box_13.jpeg

By: Frank Hyden, MMATorch contributor

The episode begins with Sako Chivitchian rigging the kitchen faucet to spray whoever turned on the water. Michael Johnson is the victim, and he is pissed. Michael accuses Alex Caceres who denies it.

Kyle Watson is training with Georges St. Pierre. This should really be helping him. Aaron Wilkinson is training with Josh Koscheck. Their fight tonight should be pretty good. Hopefully it is.

FIGHT- Kyle Watson vs. Aaron Wilkinson
Kyle is 1 inch taller but Aaron has a 2 inch reach advantage. Steve Mazzagatti is the referee.

ROUND 1- Kyle gets an early takedown. Kyle is in side control. Aaron gets him into half-guard. Kyle is just laying on Aaron here. Kyle swings around and takes Aaron's back as they stand. They go back to the ground quickly and Kyle goes back to hugging Aaron. Kyle has the mount now, then goes to Aaron's back. Kyle nearly has a rear-naked choke cinched in, but not quite. Aaron is fighting it, but then has to tap.

WINNER- Kyle Watson by Submission

Koscheck can't believe that another of his team lost by rear-naked choke. Maybe he needs to have his team work on rear-naked choke defense?

Freddie Roach comes in to be a guest coach for GSP's team. He's teaching the guys about his ways of boxing. They seem to be very open to his teaching, which is good. Freddie Roach is a great coach.

Alex says that it was an error for Michael to want to fight him. Alex says he's going to beat Michael. On the other side, Michael says that he plans on beating Alex down, letting him up, then putting him down again.

Koscheck is rooting for Alex in the fight. He thinks GSP is sacrificing Alex to get Michael into the next round. Both guys make weight. Koscheck even offers to corner Alex. Jeffrey Lentz will corner Alex. Kyle will corner Michael.

FIGHT- Michael Johnson vs. Alex Carceres
Micheal is 1 inch taller and has a 3 inch reach advantage. Herb Dean is the referee.

ROUND 1- Alex with a legkick. Micheal slams Alex down. Alex gets to his feet. Alex loses his mouthpiece after Michael pops him. Michael is trying to knock Alex's head off. They go the ground again. Michael is dominating early. Alex throws a quick flurry. Alex with a nice legkick. Michael is gassed. Michael with a good uppercut. They're pressed up against the cage. Alex evades some Michael haymakers. They go the ground again. The rounds ends with a series of Alex knees.

ROUND 2- They trade blows early. Michael takes Alex down and is on top. Michael is in side control. Michael is raining punches down on Alex. They separate. Michael takes Alex's back on the ground. Alex reverses and gets on top. Michael stands up. Michael with a good uppercut. Michael takes Alex down again. Michael has Alex pushed up on the fence. They stand up. Alex tries a kick, and Michael grabs his leg. Michael gets another takedown. The round and fight ends with Michael on top.

WINNER- Michael Johnson by Decision

Koscheck said that fight sucked. He's wondering what fight GSP was watching. I thought the fight was pretty good myself, but hey.

Dana White calls Koscheck and GSP into a back room to decide the quarterfinals. They all agree on the match-ups, much to Dana's surprise. Koscheck says his relationship with GSP is a blurred out middle finger. Dana announces that Jonathan Brooklns will fight Kyle Watson and that Michael Johnson will fight Nam Phan. Koscheck says Nam will beat Michael.

The fights tonight were fairly good. Kyle started off slow in his fight, but finished it strong. Meanwhile, Michael finally got his shot at Alex. He didn't finish, but he clearly won. Alex was a tougher opponent than Michael thought he would be. It was a good win for Michael.

NEXT EPISODE- A 2 hour finale on December 1 with both fights
