Ultimate Fight Night 23 Betting Preview

With Ultimate Fight Night 23 - Fight For The Troops 2 quickly approaching, it's time to take a look at how the card shapes up in terms of legal wagering and the best chances for a decent payout on the night.

Being there is no underdog on the card worthy of the "Underdog Pick Of The Night", we will cover the use of a "parlay" in MMA betting when there are more than one heavy or otherwise solid favorites on the card in question.

When betting the underdog, normally it is advisable to stay with the main and co-main events, as they have shown to be roughly 50/50 in terms of the underdog winning over the favorite.

When using the parlay to string together multiple solid picks though, I occasionally look at other fights on the main card also.

As usual, much of your final choice of what fights or fighters you place bets on is determined by your gut instinct as a knowledgeable fight fan.

When using the parlay, you generally want to find 2 or more favorites to string together as one bet, thus raising the payout to a level that is worth the risk. This compared to risking $5 dollars to win $1 on single favorite for example.

Making streaky bets on favorites all the time is not the way to long term incremental gains, which is really what building a bankroll is all about.
